SMHS Library

Our Library Media Program is an important part of the Southbridge Middle/High Schools' educational mission.
Our purpose is to implement and support the schools' academic programs to build all students into proficient readers.
The Library also provides excellent resources and services to our school community in order to prepare students to be effective users of ideas and information as they become lifelong learners.
The library also supports reading for personal enjoyment by providing a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction books to appeal to all tastes and reading abilities.

Our resources include:
• Computerized card catalog linked to all the schools in the district
• 5,000+ collection of books, videos, maps, posters, and reference materials
• 10+ popular magazines ~ Daily & Weekly newspapers
• Internet-connected computers in the library for student referencing, research, and resources

Summer Reading Lists Available
For students coming or returning to SMHS in the Fall, the Summer Reading List is now available under the Students tab at the top of the website. Download the complete file as it contains both the suggested book titles and the expected assignment (poster) directions. 
Visit the library often!
New arrivals are available to all students. Biographies, history, science and fiction selections new to Wells are on the shelves. Stop by, browse, and take out a book for those "nothing to do" moments!!
